Riu Playacar Hotel Playa del Carmen, Playa del Carmen

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were always clean and tidy, with a minor issue near the balcony windows that was promptly resolved by Fernando at the reception. Although my room had a disappointing view of a white wall, it was spacious and clean. The location felt like paradise, with palm trees and the sea just a step away, although seaweed was a minor nuisance mostly handled by the staff. The dining experience was quite good, especially the yummy buffet, and the service truly impressed with quick assistance and helpful staff.

I found the hotel in a superb location, right by the beautiful beach and within easy reach of various dining options. The rooms, while spacious and adequate, initially had a slightly fusty smell, especially being on the top floor of block 1 near the lobby. However, they did offer plenty of room for storing our belongings.

The hotel offers spacious and clean rooms, although our view was disappointing, and the lack of sun on the balcony meant we couldn't enjoy it fully. The service was attentive, and the staff went out of their way to keep the surroundings spotless. The beachfront location was stunning, surrounded by beautiful palm trees, but the seaweed could be a minor inconvenience. The dining options were varied and satisfying, particularly the Asian and steakhouse. The facilities were basic but functional, providing all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay.

I had an amazing time at this hotel! The rooms were beautiful and had a great balcony where we could enjoy our late afternoon backgammon games while overlooking the pool. The housekeeping by Janeth was impeccable, with daily towel animals adding a delightful touch. Although the seaweed was a minor inconvenience, the staff worked hard to keep the beach clean. The dining experience was quite good, especially the breakfast spread with a variety of options. Overall, a wonderful stay with a few minor hiccups.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The rooms are very spacious and have lovely balconies with a brilliant sea view. The staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The hotel is spotlessly clean, making it a comfortable and pleasant environment. However, the lively atmosphere can get a bit noisy at times, and there are a few animals roaming around the grounds, which may not be for everyone.
